Winter Cycling Tour Southern California

Day 1 takes us on a 50 mile loop through oak tree riddled rolling hills of Hidden Valley and Lake Sherwood where then the agricultural planes of Oxnard will funnel you down swiftly to the coast. After a beautiful ocean side ride along Pacific Coast Highway we have an option for 1 of 3 climbs back over the western end of the Famous Santa Monica Mountains. 

5-7 mile long climbs that will leave you at the end of the day wanting more the next day. .

Day 2 winds around the East side of the Santa Monica’s to Topanga Canyon and up Fernwood drive. From the Summit breathtaking views of the ocean and the offshore nearby Channel Islands await you for selfies.

Depending how you’re feeling there is 3 choices of descents The roads are smooth and perfectly cambered for a cycling downhill dream. This ride will have you snapping pictures at every turn.

Day 3 takes you away from the Santa Monica and northbound toward Ventura. An eclectic beach side community for a coffee ride or lunch hotspot before returning home. You will ride through farmlands and rolling foothills perfect elevation gain after the past 2 days of climbing. You’ll want a fourth day for sure!

Our camps are designed to YOUR ability level and how easy or hard YOU want it to be. With a quick and easy phone call or email we will design your own custom camp so you can acheive your goals.

My goal is to cater you. If you need us to be there we will ride along with you and your group.

However, camps are designed to accommodate cycling groups with SAG support in 3 or more locations along the route.

What type of nutrition do you offer on the rides?

Two in particular, Skatch labs and Gu. We will have those choices on hand for hydration as well as recovery. We also supply gels,chews and and bars.

If you need something in particular we can accomodate that as well.

Pricing varies for the individual(s)

depending on accompanied or un-accompanied camps. SAG support non-sag support.

We offer 1 day to up to 5 day camps.Since we cater specifically to your training needs we need a phone conversation to detrermine. However the going rate per hour for full catered guide service is $50/hr with a 3 hour minimum on single and 2 day services.

 Camps pricing (4-5days) is different as there is much more to consider over several days.

The weather is very nice here. We live in the most desirable location for good weather in the world. That being said, it is all realative to where YOU are from. Michigan in February could be freezing snow while we here could be 50-75 degrees. And believe me when I tell you 50 to us is COLD! we are babies when its 50 degrees. I suggest you keep an eye on the forecast for our area such as the one on this webpage.

We now have access to the new , 2018 Cannondale Synapse full carbon bikes.

If you choose to not bring your own bike these are very nice. With 105 shimano components you won't have a problem with enjoying any of the camp rides as the cassette ratio is built for climbing. front (52-36) rear (11-32t). see bike rentals page.
