Cycling Southern California

Experienced Cycling Guide

At 805 Cycling Tours Guides, we know what it's like to travel to an unfamiliar region to ride and not know where to go. With our 40 years of area knowledge, we can provide you reassurance that your time will be spent wisely on some of Southern California's famous canyons and agricultural plains. You will ride on the same roads where the pros come to train!

Whether it's winter, spring, summer or fall, Southern California has the mildest most beautiful cycling weather in the world. We are especially lucky here in the beautiful Santa Monica mountains. Come climb canyon roads where the pros come to train in the off season. Race down roads that twist and turn through oak tree forests as you gain elevation to the summit. Some compare these climbs to those in the Alps or Pyrenees. This is where five Amgen Tour of California stages took place. Greats like Hincapie, Leipheimer, Sagan, Zabriskie and so many more raced on the very roads you will be training on. Experience firsthand the famous “Snake” that the pro riders raced three loops of during the Tour on the iconic Rockstore route. This is where reaching the summit rewards your efforts. From 2,000 feet above, you gaze across the natural beauty of the mountains then down upon the ocean below. Your day is filled with cycling along the beautiful Pacific Ocean on the infamous Pacific Coast Highway.
