Your Southern California cycling experience

We at 805 CTG are your one stop shop for an EPIC cycling adventure in the heart of Southern California. Our guides will take you on infamous climbs that the pros do as well as show you the hidden roads that locals try to keep on the down low. We specialize in customized rides tailored to your needs. Are you training for an Ironman event, Gran Fondo or Century ride? Maybe you are riding to stay in shape and need a few pointers to cycle at the next level. Perhaps you are looking for a cycling getaway after being land-locked by snow and mud and you need to escape from another basement training session. We at 805 CTG are here for you! We have over 40 years of local expertise and can create an excursion just for YOU!

We customize the route based on your desires. Rides are designed to make the most of your training day. We make sure you are properly hydrated and comfortable by providing assistance along the way. You can take a break, refill bottles and drop off or pick up additional clothing as the temperature changes. These points are known as SAG (Support and Gear) stops and will be available to you on your rides. We will give you detailed locations where our SAG vehicles will be located at the pre ride meetings at the beginning of each day. Most of our rides travel through the beautiful Malibu and Santa Monica Mountains, approximately 40 square miles of cycling heaven. We can also take you on climbs which replicate the Swiss Alps by riding through the Santa Barbara foothills and mountains. We can create rides that tour the gorgeous wine country of the Central Valley of California. Tell us what you want and we will design an adventure unique to your wish list. Excursions can be as short as one day or as long as your legs will hold out. You decide what is best for you!

I am an Ironman triathlete and an avid cyclist. After many years of traveling on cycling excursions, I found that cycling tour companies had lost that personal touch. Cycling in a new area can be intimidating. This business was created because I can relate to traveling cyclists and can anticipate their wants and needs. I will take care of the details so all you need to do is show up and ride.

Contact me and let’s start planning your next adventure!

How hard are the daily camps? Will I be able to handle it??

Our camps are designed to YOUR ability level and how easy or hard YOU want it to be. With a quick and easy phone call or email we will design your own custom camp so you can acheive your goals.

Will you be on the road with our group?

My goal is to cater you. If you need us to be there we will ride along with you and your group.

However, camps are designed to accommodate cycling groups with SAG support in 3 or more locations along the route.

What type of nutrition do you offer on the rides?

Two in particular, Skatch labs and Gu. We will have those choices on hand for hydration as well as recovery. We also supply gels, chews and and bars.

If you need something in particular we can accomodate that as well.

How does the pricing work?

Pricing varies for the individual(s)

depending on accompanied or un-accompanied camps. SAG support non-sag support.

We offer 1 day to up to 5 day camps.Since we cater specifically to your training needs we need a phone conversation to detrermine. However the going rate per hour for full catered guide service is $50/hr with a 3 hour minimum on single and 2 day services.

Camps pricing (4-5days) is different as there is much more to consider over several days.

Is the weather really that great?

The weather is very nice here. We live in the most desirable location for good weather in the world. That being said, it is all realative to where YOU are from. Michigan in February could be freezing snow while we here could be 50-75 degrees. And believe me when I tell you 50 to us is COLD! we are babies when its 50 degrees. I suggest you keep an eye on the forecast for our area such as the one on this webpage.

How are the bike rentals?

We now have access to the new , 2018 Cannondale Synapse full carbon bikes.

If you choose to not bring your own bike these are very nice. With 105 shimano components you won't have a problem with enjoying any of the camp rides as the cassette ratio is built for climbing. front (52-36) rear (11-32t). see bike rentals page.
